Boyt 1" leather military sling - Boyt Harness SL6K Leather Military Sling

I own several Boyt products, mostly gun cases & slings. I have always been very pleased with their quality. I was disappointed when I received this sling, saw how thin it was, it is coated with a tacky clear rubbery gel finish (hopefully to help keep it from slipping)and had a big "Made in Korea" label on the plastic bag. I have used this sling in an Appleseed shoot and it works fine. I can't attest to it's service life, although I'm sure it will outlive me. It is an attractive, functional sling, certainally not as robust as a Turner Saddlery sling, but fine for the .22 rifle I put it on. Just don't expect it to be the Boyt Quality of old, made in the small Iowa town near where I grew up. Another saddening step in the "Made in the USA" product decline.
Pros: Attractive, nice color
Cons: Thin leather, not up to normal Boyt quality, made in Korea instead of their Iowa Harness Shop.
