Gorrilas Big Brutus's Review of Browning Game King 6.8 Western 175 gr. Centerfire Rifle Ammunition

Purchased a new X-bolt pro in July. First factory ammo I shot out of it was Winchester Power point and it was all over the map. Thought it was the rifle—Eventually I read that a lot of that ammo may have hit the market under dimension and didn’t consistently engage the barrel rifling. Also I noticed a lot of unburned lower in my barrel. Fine, whatever, I needed the brass anyways. Ordered these browning rounds from Optics Planet and found just how accurate that X-bolt is. First trip to range, holes were touching at 200 yds. Have since taken this ammo out to 792 yds in 16 mph crosswind using dope calculations with the Hornady 4DOF app and it was spot on, meaning it can deliver at all reasonable hunting distances (to me 600 yds or less). The nickel plated brass is good, I’ve reloaded with it no problem. I think I’m averaging about 2,900 fps with a 24” barrel, but can’t remember off hand. Maybe it’s closer to 2,850, but that’s still pretty good for a 175 grain bullet. Yes, I recommend this ammo.
