Browning camera - Browning Trail Cameras Strike Force Pro X 1080 Trail Camera

This camera takes superbly crisp videos but still shots are only so-so. The camera has two maddening characteristics. First, each and every video starts with a noise that sounds rather like wind. Second, each time the camera is triggered it takes both a video AND a still. I have no use for the stills so I queried Browning Tech Support as to how to disable the taking of the still and the answer was 'it cannot be disabled.' And note that the manual that comes with the camera does not mention anywhere that it takes both a video and a still when the video option is used.
