Not terrible if you're headed North/South, but lack of lines for alignment prevents a reference point for sighting in your next point (so, the compass might be accurate in pointing North, but the lack of lines prevents you from navigating accurately by specific degrees. Very disappointing, as many cheap, basic compasses have the lines necessary for this navigation. This compass is also bulky, with large needles. The couple days I tried it for work I felt like I was using a fischer-price toy.
Pros: Thermometer, inclinometer
Cons: Not for accurate navigation, and should be for this price.
