Brunton eclipse mirrored compass - Brunton 8099 Eclipse Compass - Mirrored Sighting, 3 Clinometers, Baseplate

This compass is pretty much all you would need for any hiking, climbing or camping excursion, even in rough conditions. Its base plate and protective cover are sturdy, the navigation is easy to read and reliable, the field reference cards are quite informative, and I also enjoy having the 3 clinometer systems. Don't expect anything cheap out of this, Brunton puts quality into their compasses.
