Brunton surveymaster - excellent - Brunton SurveyMaster Professional Compasses 360 Survey Master Compass-Clinometer

Worked wonderfully for roughing in property lines for a remote property/homesteading trip. However interior did fog up at the end of the trip (possibly a bad o-ring or seal) to the point that is was unusable - fortunately it was after I was done with recording the sightings and I was just taking my reverse bearings for kicks.

Opticsplanet once again stands behind their stuff though - they quickly replaced the unit and were a delight to deal with. 5 stars plus for customer service! Have not used new one enough to know if it was just a defect that caused mine to fog or if it is a design flaw - I will likely take more pains to keep it in a plastic bag when going from cold to warm/warm to cold environment so I won't have to find out.
Cons: Not as rugged as I would prefer - fogged up after 3 days
