Versatile scope - Brunton Macroscope 7X40 Close Focus Monocular 7040-MACRO

This very large monocular is great for day trips to the country or in the city. The relatively large 40mm objective lens makes it so much more useful at dawn and dusk; and also makes it easier to track fast-moving subjects. Close-focusing feature makes it useful for viewing small objects as well. I find myself putting this scope into my satchel for day trips far more often than my 8x25 binocular!
Pros: Great in low-light; close-focusing useful in museums and aquariums; tripod collar easily turns it into spotting scope for rifle or archery range; a pleasure to hold and use!
Cons: Not waterproof at all. As heavy as most 8x25 binoculars. Focusing knob has some play. Pouch is flimsy.
