This thing is a blast! The 18-inch close focus ability of this scope opens up a whole new arena of applications beyond a traditional monocular; not only can you take a closer look at distant objects, but also experience things like tide pools, insects, and museums like you've never seen them before. At 7x, it is easy to get a stable image, and the integrated tripod mount makes extended viewing a pleasure. The large focus wheel is intuitive, and I've noticed none of the issues reported by other users in terms of focusing problems. The eyeguard has a simple twist mechanism that makes it a breeze to accommodate users with eyeglasses.
Perhaps the biggest issue I have with this scope is that it does not include any sort of lens cap. It does come with a soft carying case that protects it from some damage, but it limits your options considerably when packing for a hike. Also, this scope is pretty bulky for a monocular, and it'll eat up some pack space to lug arouund this scope and it's all-but-essential soft case.
Still, this is a fantastic little device, and the depth this scope can bring to an outing easily justifies a place in any daypack. I am very pleased with this purchase.
Pros: Close Focus, Tripod Mount, Eyeglass Adjustable
Cons: Bulky, No Lens Cap
