You get what you pay for (most times) - BSA Optics 650nm Tactical Weapon Red Laser Sight w/ Flashlight

I have three BSA Sweet 22 scopes and they are AWESOME for the price. I figured what the heck and ordered this BSA light/laser combo to present a small package on my Rem.1187 POLICE H/D shotgun. The light I currently have (although bright) is too big to fit in the locker properly. My history with BSA products made me pull the trigger on this combo. The batteries came corroded and dead. BSA is sending me another set. The flashlight distance rating lost something in the metric to english translation. Evidently "up to 30 yards" in metric means about 10 meters, and that is pushing it. Fortunately this is mounted on a H/D weapon not requiring range over 20 feet. Don't count on blinding an intruder either. Not gonna happen, unless it's a mole or gopher. Have not tried the laser yet and will update when installed and tested. If it turns out to be more of a toy my kid can mount it on his pellet gun.
