Don't trust the turrets - BSA Optics Sweet .17 3-12x40mm Rifle Scope

Put this scope on a savage .17 bolt gun. For its purpose it's about perfect. Good clarity, click adjustments are positive and scope returns to zero. However, the yardage compensation on the turrets must have been an engineering after thought. I don't think they took the scopes height above the bore into account when they marked the turrets. Zeroed at 25 yds., my turret wants me to dial "up" to hit at 50 yds. However, at 50 these little bullets are still traveling upward through the line of sight and you actually have to dial "down" 11 clicks. Still, the scope tracks well and I don't use the compensation turrets anyway.
