Upon receiving the scope glass seems to be very clear. The factory provided two piece Picatinny scope rail that comes with the Ruger American is to wide for the scope. Need to replace a one piece. it’s been too cold to sight the scope in but the sweet 22 works so well I don’t see a problem with the sweet 270. if this platform allows, I will give an update after sighting in the scope.
