Most Helpful Positive Review One Good Scope !!
This has got to be one of the most rugged scopes on the market !! I tripped and fell on my scope when getting away from a bison bull via a very steep ravine (scope caps on scope !!) The force was enough to momentarily knock me out !! The scope has taken two bison since the fall without any adjustmen...

Most Helpful Negative Review Burris scope
Very clear and was easy to adjust during site in. It held the zero and very good eye relief. This is my first Burris scope and I will purchase another when I get another gun. Great value for the price.

Not like they used to be

by Matt, from WI, United States Written on October 29, 2023
I had a friend with this same scope on his deer rifle 20 years ago. It was crisp and clear. You could see the ballistic plex lines even in low light. I was hoping with this scope it would be the same but was so disappointed when it wasn't. No matter how much effort went into making adjustments the cross hairs always looked blurry. Don't be lured in by the price, the quality of this scope is not the same as it once was. Blurry cross hairs are a deal breaker. Save yourself the trouble and don't buy this scope.
Pros:
  • Easy to ship back for refund
Cons:
  • Blurry cross hairs
Best Used for:
  • Paperweight

As good as it gets in this price range.

by Jon, Verified Owner from GA, United States Written on October 7, 2023
This scope is clear, very easy to use, and is not too heavy. I put it on a 300BLK AR15, zeroed at 100yards. The reticle trajectory compensation hack marks are in meaningful spots for both my supersonic and subsonic loads. Bushnell’s online tools print an accurate range card for any load and reticle combination.

This is not a scope that is designed to have its turrets twisted on a regular basis. They are steel turrets that have a coin slot to ease turning them; without the coin, they are not easy to adjust-not impossible. This scope is best used with the reticle holdovers for range adjustments. They work well for me. Well enough that I ordered a second one of these scopes.

If you want a scope in the same price range that can be dialed easily, look at the Burris E-1 scopes. I think either model will easily get you out to 600yards with an appropriate caliber-pretty nice for under $250.
Best Used for:
  • Hold over
  • less than 600 yards

Buyer beware

by Old n Bitchy, from KS, United States Written on April 3, 2023
I Google American made rifle scopes. Burris was on the list, it's misleading you., Just got one from opticplanet and it says made in the Philippines.Beware was wanting an American made product. It appears that they might be made in Colorado but not the one I received

Good value, good glass, turrets "ok"

by Muzz Dad, from NY, United States Written on February 25, 2023
I bought this because it was 1/2 the price of what my heart wanted...a 3-9x40 Leupold VX Freedom. At thw price, I really like it. The glass is clear. Just two complaint. First, the stadia limes are hard to see. Second, the turret clicks are too mushy. But it zeros fine, amd is holding up well to .50cal muzzleoader recoil. For the price, I think you will be happy.
Pros:
  • glass
Cons:
  • mushy clicks
  • Stadia to thin
Best Used for:
  • hunting

Excellence at bargain basement price.

by British Mark, from LA, United States Written on June 3, 2021
I mounted this scope on a Tikka T3 Lite in .308 Winchester intending to test Sako's claim that the rifle will shoot a sub-MOA 3 round group at 100 yds straight out of the box. Sako wasn't lying, as I actually shot a 1/2# group and surprised myself in doing so, while the scope adjustments and zero-ing the knobs was very easy and the scope had clearly held zero perfectly. Ammo used was Federal Premium Gold Medal Sierra MatchKing 168gn
Pros:
  • light
  • clear optics
  • reticle is bright and clear
  • clear & bright image
Cons:
  • None
Would recommend: Yes
