FD's Review of Burris AR-P.E.P.R Rifle Scope Mount

After going through various reviews, I had trouble determining if the QD model was adjustable for tightness to the picatinny rail. All of the pictures showed the levers but didn't show the other side which had the adjustments.

There were some other (mistaken) reviews where the buyer didn't know they were adjustable and cried about them being too loose. The mount came with directions that they must have neglected to read.

This mount is, in fact, adjustable. The QD levers can also be turned 180 degrees to lock to the back instead of the front. When fully opened, the levers stick straight out (90 degrees) versus 180 degrees like the American Defense Mounts. The QD levers are adjustable on essentially 8 points through a full rotation. Each has a small divot where a metal piece falls into. The adjustments aren't quite as fine as an ADM mount but it is much cheaper. The levers take and extra push for the locking mechanism to click into place.

I haven't had a chance to shoot this mount and check the zero after remounting, but I am happy for the $ and it's convenience so far. I have read several reviews that the return-to-zero is acceptable so I wasn't particularly worried. The most important factor was the adjustability of the mount.
Pros:
  • Price
  • QD levers and adjustability
  • plain top or picatinny option included
Cons:
  • weight - nothing special but the extra build makes it average
Best Used for:
  • scopes that live on multiple rifles
  • quick removal in case of failure
