Good sight, lens size spec confusing - Burris FastFire RD 1x35.5mm 2 MOA Red Dot Sight

Overall this sight appears to be well made. At the time I purchased it, the specification on the ojective lens diameter was 35mm. It said this on both the Burris site, as well as OP, so I dont fault OP. The lens diameter (as far as inside the housing) was actually slightly under 1 inch, so it is pretty much the same size as other small red dots on the market. The housing seems more like 35mm. I was wanting a larger lens, and was left confused on the spec. I returned it for that reason alone.
