Burris fullfield ii ballistic plex e1 4.5-14x42 scope - Burris Fullfield II Ballistic Plex E1 4.5-14x42mm Rifle Scope

I bought this scope out of a group of 6 finalists in the approx. $300 range. The OP rep said this one had the best glass. The shipping box was very beat up when I got it, but so far the scope seems to be ok. Sighting in at 25,50, then 75 yards went pretty quick. I'm using the scope on a Savage A17, rigged for varmints, esp squirrels. Around here we mostly have smart squirrels, they know what your up to. So long range shots (ie 100+ yds) are a norm and I needed a good scope to reach out to 200 yds easily.

The ballistic plex is a great idea but through the glass at 100 yds the tics are very small and its hard to set the reticle on target. I've done it by using the tics to estimate windage then just holding over what I think its going to be. So theyre helpful but not critical. But I'm not used to the scope all the way yet.

The mag ring is really stiff to turn. Your rings better be tight! The rig is tough and well built. This is my first Burris scope so I'm hoping for the best. Stay tuned.
