Eyeball's Review of Burris MTAC 1-4x24mm Illuminated Rifle Scope, Ballistic AR Reticle FastFire III 3MOA

I bought a Burris Mtac tactical kit that included the Burris fast fire 3 for an AR I have. I wanted a Recce set up and wanted a variable 1-4 as I don’t plan on going past 400 yards and plan for it to be used for more mid range/cqc engagemnets. I decided on he MTac 1-4 after a bit of research and comparing it to a few other options. I took her out yesterday to sight in at 100yards. I expected a few rounds to get adjusted as I didn’t bore sight it, but to be on paper with quarter size groups within 12 rounds.... this scope did not disappoint. Having the fast fire at the 1oclock position is a really nice option for when I’m at 4 power and have a threat approach up close and I need a quick transition. Super clear dot with multiple brightness. Speaking of brightness, the mtac brightness and levels of brightness far exceeded my expectations. I used a $2000 luepold as my spottin scope to sight the mtac in. I was going back and forth between the two... my only disappointment was spending $2000 when this glass was equal if not better on the Mtac. The AR reticle is super clear and easy to spot on transition. I highly recommend this scope. Whether you’re shooting for a score, or like me, shooting for your life. It’s definitely an added bonus to not break the bank and save some money for another gun!
