Durability warranty issue - Bushnell 10x42 Fusion ARC Laser Rangefinder Binoculars

My problem with this product is I've owned these for barely 2 years and the focus which is at Large nipple looking piece that also is the access for the battery broke off while in my backpack which I take very good care of so the amount of pressure it took to break this piece off could not have been much. I sent them back to Bushnell and they did absolutely nothing other than sent them back and said sorry will give you 10% off a new pair. In my opinion I think if you're going to pay that kind of money for Rangefinder binoculars, they should have a little bit better warranty and customer service. I will not be by another bushnell item. If Vortex made their Rangefinder binoculars 2 years ago, I wouldn't be having this issue as they warranty their products and stand behind them.
