Litehiker's Review of Bushnell 10x42 Fusion ARC Laser Rangefinder Binoculars

This latest version of Bushnell's LRF binoculars has outstanding performance and many features. The glass is good but not great. At this price point you are paying for the great electronic & laser technology, not ED glass.

For RIFLE MODE you program it for the following:
1. your cartridge (from Bushnell's on-line list of brands, types and bullet weights)
2. your sight-in range (say 200 yards)
3. meters or yards readout
4. MOA or MIL readout

The built in inclinometer will give you the true ballistic distance and either MOA or MIL hold over/under for uphill/downhill shots.
If you have a mil-dot reticle you can hold based on the information from the binoc readout.

I love it for hunting with my Burris Mil-Dot scope reticle. My own distance guesses were always too long. These binoculars reportedly (firearms forum remarks) range further and more consistently than some more expensive European LRF binocs., particularly Leica.
Pros:
  • great distance ranging, very good hold information, easy to see readout, decent glass
Cons:
  • Glass could be better but the price would rise as well.
Best Used for:
  • Hunting, long range rifle competition
