Junk from china? for the money these are great. - Bushnell 2x40mm Equinox Z Digital Night Vision Binocular

I am not sure why the one person called these junk. For the money I am impressed. Once you have them focused correctly you can see out to 100 yards using ambient light or the built in illuminator depending on conditions You can even record what you see on the micro SD. The only thing I have to compare to this is an old Russian Gen 1 that I have, and these binoculars are 10x better than that. They do have a digital zoom, but I must admit I don't use it often because the image gets grainy. These cannot be used stealthily. When you turn the illuminator on a red light is visible from the front of the binoculars at the illuminator, so any zombies out there will see you. With the illuminator off you do not see the red light, safe from zombies. I would not use these much in the daytime since my Canon binoculars beat the pants off of these, but at night, for the money, these are great. I am going to buy another pair for a gift.
