Scope won't sight in. - Bushnell 3-9x40 Trophy XLT Rifle Scopes

I was very pleased with my scope especially how clear it is but until I went to sight it in my pleasure went to disappointment quickly. While sighting it in it needed to go way up but once it maxed out I was still 10-15" low from hitting where I was aiming at. I contacted the seller & still waiting for them to get back to me. Hopefully it's a default with the scope & will get a new one sent or reimburse me.
