Great value for the money! - Bushnell ARES 5 inch Compact Truss Tube Dobsonian Telescope OpticsPlanet Edition

The slide-out design of the truss tube makes this little scope easy to store, easy to transport, easy to use! For the money it is very well-built and the optics are more than acceptable - with a 5mm eyepiece at 130x Saturn was sharp and clear last night, and after collimation I could see nice round Airy discs on stars when the atmosphere settled down. Motion in both axes is smooth with just the right amount of resistance. For a quick grab'n'go scope this beats my 11" SCT hands down! This is going to get a lot of use, I like it better than my AstroScan which cost more and has less aperture.
Pros: well-built, good optical quality, portable
Cons: only 5" aperture!
