3-12 elite tacticle hunter - Bushnell Elite Tactical Hunter Rifle Scope 3-12x44

I have owned one for 3 years, and the only fault that my friends and I have found with it, is in the very early morning or right at dark. The grid on the scope is almost useless. I keep mine on the 12 power setting and have killed deer from 25 to 400 yds. with mine. After practicing with the grid, I can now place shots consistently inside 2" at 500 yds., but I have never used the turrent. Mine has never needed resetting. I do shoot it before season. About 30 min. before dark and I do mean dark, and about the same after the very breaking of day, you cannot see the grid retical we'll enough to make a humane kill. I use a chair and a dead shot field pod and fell confident except in the times before mentioned of making a quick kill. I am 67 yrs. old and it may be my eyes, but I don't think so. I haven't shot my 308 Thompson Icon past 500 yds. as there is nowhere around here to shoot farther. My ole gun likes Hornady sst superformance, and with this Bushnell scope I am confident of the outcome. On the upside if the grid were darker it would hide to much of the target for a precise shot placement.
