I generally dont expect good things from Bushnell, but this model has changed my mind. The glass is very clear. You can tell the difference between it and a S&B, but only at 1000+yds. The G2 reticle is something I'd never used before, but I'll be looking for it from now on. The reticle is simple and very easy to understand.
The oversized adjustment knobs and the positive tactile feel of them while making adjustments is unbeatable. I thought I might have trouble finding 34mm rings, but Badger Ordnance had them and were quick to deliver. I only gave it four stars because I wish it had zero stops. No illuminated reticle, but its something I never use anyway so no points lost on that front. All-in-all I'd say this is a fantastic scope for med/long range (500-1000yd) rifles, but I'd drop a bit more cash on something I wanted to really stretch out with. At a little over a grand, this scope cannot be beat.

Was initially going to go with the vortex razor hd gen 2 for my custom 6.5 creed ,glad I didn't spend twice the cash the bushy does everything I want and more does not have zero stop but not that important to me. I was able to shoot 1.27 " 5 shot group at 200 yds and a 1.75" 5 shot group at 300 yds at noon yesterday in south Texas it was 98degrees with full marrage this scope paired with warne rings unbeatable.
Pros:
- Clarity, light transmission
- costs much less than a leupold or zeiss of the same power
- Easy, Reliable Access
Best Used for:
- hunting/video
- Match shooting

If you think bushnell doesn't make good quality scopes, think again. I narrowed my decision to the elite because of broad range of power variability, 34mm tube, first focal plane and reasonably priced under my limit of 2 grand @ around $1100. I've mounted it on my cooper 6.5 creedmoor. The other 2 contenders were nightforce SHV and Leupold VX6 3-18x50, which I will eventually own as well. I have several friends that have the NF and Leupold VX6 and Mark 4 and i find the bushnell to be equally as good in glass, clarity, low light, etc. I like reticles that are fine and tactical reticles that don't appear overbearing in regards to the crosshairs. The farthest I've had a chance to shoot with it is 400 yards with 2-1/4" 5 shot group. My 400 yd target is tucked back in trees and this was done in no wind and the last 30 minutes of light. I no problem with these conditions through the Elite. All the power adj. and turret turn easy and true.

The scope is very good for the money !!
It's good and crisp tracks very well love the turrets !!
Only thing that I wish was different was the screws when you go to zero the turrets have a slot for a screw driver but they are rounded at the bottom of the slot for more like a nickel which is what I found works well I think something like a Allen key or a star but would be better so you don't mess up the screws !
Also I would rather have a locking focus adjustment like the nightforce has but that's personal preference!!
Only thing I might do is go ahead and buy the ESR version because it has the illuminated reticle might help on the F Class targets with the black target at distance !!
But I'm very pleased with the scope and love the reticle the G2 is great not to busy but enough to use in any situation.

this scope is as good or better than the vortex razor HD Gen !! 4.5 X 27 and a lot less money. I used this scope on my recent prairie dog hunt. The ranging turret worked flawless. Range the distance and turn the turret to that distance, dead prairie dog.

It may not be a Schmidt Bender but it far exceeded my expectations for the price.
It is very bright and I love the reticle.
I only took a star off since it wasn't perfectly dead on when sighting it in by using the mil/mil reticle to calculate how many clicks needed to move the bullet to the center. It was close but I have used other scopes that were more accurate with the needed clicks.
I would buy another if needed before I bought a SB or NF at 3 times the cost.

I've always thought Bushnell great bargain but brass screw in this scopes turrets can get bent easily under real world field use. Bushnell is not good in backing product. Wanted over $1000 when sent in for repair. I replaced screw myself in 5 min. after machinist friend gave me part.
Pros: clear optics
Cons: turrets bend easily

This scope is the first truly high end optic that I have ever purchased and I was not disappointed in the least. It was easy to set up get on target on my Steyr SSG 04. The mil marks and adjustments on the G2 reticle are perfectly calibrated. Clicks move point of impact exactly as they should. The service and selection from Optics Planet is outstanding as well.
Pros: Super Clear, nice adjustment, large zoom range
