Legacy Reviewer's Review of Bushnell Excursion Spotting Scope 20-60x80 ED 782080ED
Ordered on Monday, received on Thursday.
Best price even before free shipping which many other places didn't have.
This is my 1st spotting scope. I considered the Elite which allows camera adapters, but this scope fit my budget better. I looked at a full moon at 60 zoom, WOW! Would love to see how a picture of that would turn out. The moon almost completely filled the 80mm lens at 60zoom.
There is a house 3 miles distant across the valley with a 10x50 binocular you can determine the shape of the house, but not much else. With the spotting scope you can see they have a small satellite dish, BBQ grill, lawn umbrella, and tell when someone is out on the deck.
The scope comes with a fairly large carry case that also has provisions to carry the tripod. But, an extra I didn't know is the scope has a protective jacket with a carry strap that lets you mount it to a tripod and expose the lenses for use. Very nice.
Pros: portable
Cons: unable to attach a camera, small tripod
