I have a Leupold range finder, but it is only good to about 700 yds. on a reflective target. Im into long range shooting beyond 800 yds & needed the extra ranging capability. I read the reviews about the Fusion 10 X 42, decided I wanted the binocular/ranging combination, but decided to step up to the 12 X 50 model. First of all, I love the product, but it has the same minor problems as its weaker partner, i.e. the red display is a little difficult to see in bright light & more importantly, the power button which is also used to activate the ranging function is hard to find & therefore tough to activate just by feel. It needs to be larger & protrude so you can find it without looking for it, especially with gloves on. Other than that, I recommend it based on the clarity, power & extended ranging capability. I also purchased the binocular harness so I could keep the binoculars close, but hands free & I highly recommend the combination.
Pros: Very powerful & excellent ranging
Cons: Red display can be hard to see; ranging button too small
