Bushnell legend HD 3-9 x 40
Great once dialed in. Adjusting wind age / elevation could be more clearly labeled. For the price it's hard to beat. Especially if you can find it on DVOR for even less.
Pros: Hard to beat for the price
Cons: Windage / elevation could be more clear
Very impressed
One of the best Scopes I have ever mounted on a rifle for the money I have a lot of other Scopes that cost a lot more money than this but when put to the test side-by-side comparisons in low light conditions cannot see any difference really at all.... tried the fog test it passed with flying colors actually better than a couple of my Zeiss scopes.. I have continuously dialed the elevation up and down expecting it to fail me at my 200 yard zero but has never give a minute's trouble has always came back to zero every time super super impressed with this scope for the money highly recommend it to anyone regardless of caliber or use
Pros:
- Very nice glass for low light..
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- hunting and target
Would recommend: Yes

Try something different
I always buy Leupold scopes, this time I wanted to try some other brand. I put this on my Ruger 10/22 and so far I am very impressed. The scope is very clear and bright. I like the lifetime warranty. I still think Leupold is #1. Over all this is a great scope with a reasonable price and lifetime warranty. I am not disappointed at all!

Bushnell Legend Ultra HD 3-9x40mm
Optics are clear and MOA adjustments are easy. Focus and distant adjustments aren't too tight, and hold very well. Only drawback is that it is a heavy scope. Sighting in at 50 yards was dead on. At 100 yards, had to make more MOA adjustments than usual, but sighted in well. The best distance I've found for the tightest group was 40 yards, using an HMR17 Savage A17; and I'm talking a very tight group (two touching and one at an 1/8" from the two.) The value is spot-on for what you are paying.
Pros:
- Clear, bright optics
- MOA adjustments are easy
- Value for money spent
Cons:
- Heavy
- Hard to get very tight groups over 80 yards
Best Used for:
- 40 to 60 yards
Would recommend: Yes

Great For varmint hunting
I mounted this scope on my .257 Roberts that I use for mixed varmint hunting. I especially liked the side focus as occasionally the little critters show up at close range and the range dots out to 600 yards are especially useful for long shots at cautious coyotes who refuse to come in closer. When I put this scope up against my older Leupold 3x9, this scope brighter and has more features. I would recommend this scope and have given it 5 stars accordingly.
Pros:
- range estimation
Cons:
- None...yet

sharp scope with side focus/parallax adjustment
In the short time I've had and used this scope, I'm pleased so far. Optics are sharp and bright, windage and elevation adjustments seem positive and accurate. I bought this scope to place on a new .22 primarily due to the combination of 3X-9x magnification range and side focus, something that is not common but is a good fit for a .22 in my opinion. I believe the scope will serve me well but I gave it 4 stars only because I have not had it long enough to evaluate its long term ruggedness and durability.
Pros:
- sharp, bright optics
- side focus/ parallax adjustment
- horizontal and vertical adustments responsive and accurate
Cons:
- ruggedness, durablity yet to be determined
Best Used for:
- .22 LR but many other good applications
Would recommend: Yes

target shooter
This scope is as clear as a Leupold for way less money. Really like the side parallex adjustment. I would give this scope 5 stars but the eye relief is not quite as long as I like. for a short action gun it is fine but on long actions I have to stretch my neck a little to get a full sight picture. easily solved with reversible front bases or extended scope rings though.
