Don't listen to the reviews complaining about arbor fitment.
Some reviews say the item wobbles around in the bore, the arbor doesn't fit snugly. That was my initial experience too, but here are two tricks that I think people overlook:
Tip 1- When you find the biggest arbor that fits into the barrel, it WILL be loose. BUT, keep turning the arbor screw further...

Bushnell Laser Boresighter w/ Arbors 740100C
The item works OK for the price but instructions received were useless. There is no indication as to how to turn it on or how to replace the batteries. The switch looks to be a push button which is it not. It is actually a small wheel which must be turned clockwise to turn the laser on.

Bare Bones Minimum
Wanted a quick one size fits all. Barely got me on paper at 25 yards with a 12 gauge and .22 LR at 25 yards. If you don’t mind sending a decent amount of rounds down range to dial in, go for it. Spending the $30+ for a chambered laser is my suggestion.
Pros:
- Easy
- quick
Cons:
- short distance
- inaccurate
Would recommend: No
Solid Product Thus Far
So far I’ve only used it once on one firearm that I own. Out of all the boresighters I have used, I like it the most. It has a very universal nature to it. Would have given it 5 stars but I haven’t used it on more than one firearm just yet.
Pros:
- easy to use.
Cons:
- Not ideal for outdoor conditions
Would recommend: Yes
not great...
arbors are not high quality, do not expand evenly; laser will move up to 4-5 inches at 10 yards if you spin the item within the bore; shell scratches VERY easily when moved in the bore.

Great product
It may not be as fancy or as technical has some other bore sights it does the job with simplicity. Like all items iof this nature you need to make sure it working correctly. I used a drill and spun the dvice to make sure the lazer wasnt making a circulat pattern. Didn't have to make any adjustments to mine but all the tools are there to do so.
Pros:
- simple & easy
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- all types
Would recommend: Yes
Perfect!!!!!!
Awesome works perfectly for me!!! Simple to use fits well got me on paper quicker
Would recommend: Yes
May get you on paper
Seems that only at 25 yards is the laser visible. After adjusting the scope, I still had to move the rounds into the red by readjust the scope. It may be good just to get close? I will try it with other arbors to see how it works with different calibers.
Pros:
- small portable package
Cons:
- won't guarantee Zero
Best Used for:
- for minimizing rounds wasted
Would recommend: Yes
Bushnell bore sighter
The items inserts are ok but the would be of better service if they were cut to fit the hole instead of screwing it in to fit.

Laser was off zero which makes the product useless.
If you roll the laser on a flat surface, you can see if it is on point or not. Mine was making a 12” circle at 25yds. The arbors supplied do not work for a 12g shotgun, unless maybe mine was just missing pieces— if you roll a napkin around the arbor it will work just fine afterwards if the laser was on point. You can check by rolling the laser on a flat surface and checking on the wall for rotation, which this one also did. I learned that if you mapped some points on it’s rotation and then ran a line through them on a paper you would find the center of the laser and you could make it work then, but they could’ve also just sold you a good product. Maybe there are other ways to make this crooked laser work, but all of which are compensating for a poorly designed, or loosely QC’d product. The positive reviews might have gotten lucky with a straight laser, but if you are not, then you have an overpriced fidget toy.

Complete Junk
First of all... the picture on this store front is NOT what you will receive. Go to Bushnell site to see what you will actually receive.
Second of all... this is complete junk! This will not fit in a CZ 457 rifle for which I purchased this to use in even though it states .22. Also the laser is NOT centered in the device. As you spin the unit within a leveled barrel, it makes a huge circle (0.75") at 10 yards. The laser beam is NOT a dot but a line that is approximately 1/8" long. Completely useless...

Solid, basic, affordable
It's on par with other makers who offer a similar style boresighter. OP had it on sale for a price that beat other makers' similar ones, and the other sellers who offered this. I scooped it up ASAP! The shape of the laser dot on the target is not perfectly round, but small and bright enough if you're aim is to just get on paper by setting your initial zero at 25 yds. This is why I gave 5 stars knowing what to expect for my money. I did not try any farther from my target.
Pros:
- Afffordable
- Decent Quality
Cons:
- None
Best Used for:
- basic scope zero
