Dwayne's Review of Bushnell Trophy 2-7x36mm Multi-X Reticle Rifle Scope, 3.9 in Eye Relief

I threw this on an AR build on which I was going for the lowest price possible. It didn't disappoint! Compared to the Viper PST Gen II 1-6x24mm I run on my competition AR, of course it's inferior. But I could buy ~30 of these for what that scope cost. It's definitely not as clear as the Vortex, but for the price it's clear on the target and with the mail in rebate it cost next to nothing. The clarity on center is fine and although it lacks the edge-to-edge clarity and FOV of the pricier option, I'd gladly take this predator hunting or to the range and desire little more. It doesn't give that crisp edge-to-edge clarity that envelops the entire field of view making the scope body/tube disappear that higher end optics offer, but at the price it's perfectly suitable for range/hunting use. I wouldn't run it in competition, but for a budget AR build, I can't think of anything else I'd choose. It definitely has a shadow around the sight picture from the scope tube, but as far as on-target clarity, it's fine. With the MIR it cost about as much as a box of match grade ammo (or the cost of reloading ~50rds of match ammo) and it's totally worth it. I'd happily take out ground hogs at <200yds with this, and have. Unless you're putting this on a rifle with <1MOA accuracy, it won't be a bottleneck.

It holds a zero fine, although I honestly haven't tried to actually dial in elevation. I've shot it out to 500yds and it did fine just using a holdover. It doesn't have any subtensions on the reticle, so holdovers will very much be based on experience and guesstimation, but to throw on an AR that came in at <$400 I've got no complaints. The best that rifle can do even with nice glass is 1-2MOA and this scope definitely doesn't limit that.
