Cheap price, cheap mount

Written on Dec 11, 2024

BLUF: this mount will not securely fasten to picatinny rails and is unsuitable for any type of precision or long range.

Review: I thought I would try to save a couple dollars and try a new, cheap brand I was unfamiliar with and boy do I regret it. This mount fails in three ways; the QD levers, the tightness adjustment, and the actual mount security itself.

No matter how tight you adjust the mount to be, and even when maxed out, the mount wobbles on picatinny rails. I’ve tried it on multiple weapons and rails but it’s all the same story. Crank until it’s uncomfortably tight, shake it, and it still wobbles.
That is, if you can even get your tightness adjustment to stay… The hex nuts you use to adjust often get caught at weird angles in their slot causing binding and difficulty locking the QD levers into place unless you physically hold both nuts down with your fingers so they don’t twist.
The final failure are these QD levers themselves. After the levers are pushed into place the locking tabs don’t always engage meaning one your mount isn’t secured, and two good luck trying to loosen that lever again unless you wedge something in there to try and force it open.

Overall? I guess it wouldn’t matter if you just wanted to throw something cheap on the mount and not shoot past 100. But if you had a 34mm scope odds are you spent a fair chunk of cash on it, and in that case I would steer clear of this mount.

Great trigger… if it worked

Written on Aug 26, 2024

I bought this trigger and made sure to install it correctly, and at first I loved how crisp it was. But then the sear broke after a few double taps. I contacted TriggerTech, who then sent me a new one to replace it. Same issue, and the trigger broke after less than 100 rounds.

I tried to return it and asked for a refund since I didn’t trust the trigger anymore, but TriggerTech refused and said they would only offer a replacement trigger instead. So now I have a $250 junk trigger sitting on my shelf with no purpose and can’t return it.

High quality without high price

Written on Sep 18, 2021

I’m usually a stickler on parts and like the high quality stuff so I was skeptical when I bought this at first. I’m happy to say that it’s great, and I don’t regret it at all! Definite high quality for the price and I’ve had no issues with it so far. Like the other review said, the moving parts can be a little rough when you first get it so be sure to lubricate the springs and it will loosen right up.

Be aware of what you get...

Written on Mar 28, 2020

This is a great stock that works great, however be advised it DOES NOT fit 18650 rechargeable batteries. It still fits CR123 batteries great, but 18650s have a larger diameter. Only giving 4 stars because it hadn’t mentioned this in the description.
