It's says it fits the TLR-1HL light among many others, but does it really? In comparison to an X300 which it also fits, the Streetlight is slightly. wider and BARELY fits. It's properly snug, and not in a fun way. Wish they made an ALS for the X5 with a dot and the TLR1HL that wasn't the plastic molded 7 series- would be easy to fix with quick application of a heat gun and be on my merry way. Snug enough for retention is fine, but this makes it a challenge in many cases to re-holster clean without wiggling the *** out of the gun.
Recommend with heavy reservation, as there is no alternative with ALS.
After some hesitation given reviews of flickering, finally got this. Paired it with a remote pressure pad on a pic rail and the MLOK light mount. At first it flickered, but I pulled everything off the gun and back apart and then put everything back together, no issues. It is so tightly assembled now that I probably can't back out the rear cap to disable which isn't ideal, but no hint of flicker. Charged overnight to full battery, was ready for use the next morning.
For those who say this might be too bright, especially against a white wall, consider your uses. For me, I want a light I can throw long distances and also strobe fast and then move on my rifle. For indoor work I'm going to stick with my Sig pistol anyway which has its own purposely chosen SureFire of less brightness. I'm in a residential area so over penetration would be a guarantee with an AR. Your circumstances may differ. Mountain lions and Coyotes is our biggest wildlife. This will do you well with this on your long gun. Wait for the sale though...
