Perfect for Loaded or Empty

Written on Jul 22, 2020

Whether you are taking loaded rounds to the range, storing them in your ammo closet or keeping track of your empty brass and how many times it has been reloaded, all of the MTM plastic ammo boxes are great. Sturdy and easy to stack and since they are available in different colors, they are easy to set up for different calibers.

Love Sierra Projectiles

These were exactly what I wanted (and needed) for my new S&W Model 57 in .41 Magnum. They work well with full power loads as well as reduced loads to keep the recoil down. Perfect seating depth with the canalur and easy to put on a light crimp.

Good Value for the Price

If you are looking for a case to hold one pistol, a couple of magazines, maybe the manual and some ammo this is a good value. The treated foam does not seem to hold moisture. There is room for two pistols, but I prefer one pistol and accessories. I also have a small spiral range note book for each of my pistols and with one gun in the case, that works along with ammo etc. Back and forth to the range it is great. For shipping, I would put an over wrap box on it (I save the ones they came in for this).

Best For One Pistol if Adding Accessories

Written on Feb 29, 2020

I have many Plano cases and recently purchased this one to put a new pistol in. If you want to just put two pistols in, with nothing else, it works fine. If you want extra clips or other things, than consider it a One Pistol case, but for the money it is still a great bargain. I have a pistol, extra spare clip, bushing wrench and a Round Count Small notebook in this case now and it is working exactly as I wanted it to.

Stay Organized

Convenient way to stack and store ammo as well as bring to the range and return with the empties ready to reload. These plastic boxes are available in different colors to designate which ammo is there and also comes with labels and tags so you can have loading data on the outside of the box. The stack as high as you want and interlock and protect your loaded ammo better than a cardboard box.

Best Brushes Ever

Written on Dec 07, 2015

After trying many brands of bore brushes over the years, I have settled on Dewey Brushes. They work well and last a long time if properly cared for. I now buy both their bronze and nylon brushes and use, which ever seems to be the most appropriate for the amount of fouling that I might have in the bore.

Needs A Little Modification

Written on Nov 19, 2015

I am a big fan of Boresnakes for all my shotguns and only purchase the more expensive locally produced ones. Though I typically do not use them for precision rifles, I do for things I plink with. I recently purchased three. One for the 44 Magnum, which worked perfectly and one each for the .17 and .22. I used the .22 one in my Henry Golden Boy as you can not use a rod from the chamber. The brass end tip is slightly too large and it was a real problem getting it to do down the barrel so that I could pull it out and I was also afraid that it might not be really good for the bore. With some crimping pliers, I make the diameter smaller and put a coating on it and now it works fine.

This and a Bore Scope is all you need.

With the Wheeler scope mounting kit it is easy to correctly torque base screws, line up the bases and rings and lap in the rigs for a perfect fit without leaving marks on your expensive optics. Covers both 1" and 30mm rings.

Creats A Lot of Flexibilty

With the difference in eye relief on various rifle scopes, having this rail, especially when changing over scopes allows for a considerable amount of latitude for scope placement. Also insures better alignment than using two piece bases.

Explanding Versatility

Recently purchased a Browning BPS Pump shotgun in 20 gauge. Came with three chokes, but I like to shoot Skeet and no SK choke was included. This choke fit perfectly, was economical and works perfectly.
