ar15 offset sight
Written on Feb 14, 2026
I’m running the Vortex Defender CCW on my M4 AR15 as a 45-degree offset backup sight, and I honestly couldn’t be happier with it. This thing is rock solid. The glass is super clear, the dot is crisp, and it picks up fast when transitioning from my primary optic.
As an offset, it’s exactly what I wanted — lightweight, low profile, and quick to acquire in close-range situations. The brightness settings are easy to adjust and bright enough to run comfortably in full daylight. It holds zero well and feels extremely durable, even with regular range use.
The overall build quality is what you’d expect from Vortex — tough, reliable, and backed by their unbeatable warranty. If you’re looking for a dependable micro red dot to run as an offset backup on an AR platform, the Defender CCW is absolutely worth it.
Highly recommend.

I saw everyone hyping this charging handle on youtube and some of my buddies recommneded it. When i put it on my rifle it had a ton of play when locking the bcg to the rear i was unable to throw the charging handle forward from the right side due to the hard rounded edge of the release
