Paddle does not secure well

I ordered this for my 1911. What I found was that the paddle holster and come out with the pistol as the paddle is thin and small. It does not adequately stay in place. A larger paddle area with a more aggressive hook design would help.
No sunshade accessories to be found for 40mm Nikon Scopes.

Nikon Buckmasters 4-12X40 BDC Rifle Scope
I own three scopes that are 40mm from Nikon. They work well with one exception. They are threaded for a sunshade in 40mm but finding one is currently frustrating. No one seems to have the 40mm sunshade part#NIK6798. Nikon customer service was no help. So if you think you'll need this scope and not the sunshade then great. But if you hunt and your target happens to be be in the direction of the sun then you might find it difficult.
