The vertical adjustment was almost correct. The horizontal adjustment was off a bit a impacted right it is an easy adjustment. But take your time to zero it. The adjustment screws have a nice click in small increments, so you can easily count the number of clicks. It is tactile not audible.
obviously you do not want to overtighten the assemble screws, but, after adjust the windage and elevatiion, I changed target and moved it farther away. The impacts were off. The screws had loosened a bit after 100 rounds. So, check these when zeroing this device. I am considering putting on a dab of easy removable Locktight.
The activation button is very sensitive. When you draw it turns on. Iam not a fan of that early warning green laser light.
I modified the sensitivity by adding a layer of Talon rubber grip material with a small hole punched out for only the little button.. You will need to add a bit more pressure with you middle finger to activate. I have it so that when I present and have a good grip it turns on to confirm sight alignment. A fractional second before trigger press with sight alignment.
This is personal and not for everybody.
The green laser emitter is very bright compared to a red one. Great for outdoors but very noticeable in low light.I prefer my red one in low light. But with the mod that I made this works everywhere with the green as well.
Good glass. Good clarity. Wonderful windage and vertical adjustment controls.
Wish the Firedot circle was a bit larger diameter for quick acquisition. Will aclimate!
Good sight picture, especially at 1x.
Changing the magnification requires some effort. Good if you want to use the scope at a specific power for the task. Not so quick if you want to experiment for first time use.
1x is slightly more than 1x, but works well with both eyes open.
3.5x seems like a prime magnification on the 1-6x.
Used on a Sig Virtus but easily moved to a Tavor with little adjustment, using an American Defense mount.
You would need to spend a grand more for marginally better German low light glass.
Very good price for the quality, but not a low end price for sure.
Choosing from so many designs is fun. The fabric is comfortable but it seems warmer than I expected. Obviously, great for cool weather, but I'll see how it breathes when summer comes. If the price continues to go down, since I bought this at $32,I would would buy more for gifts. Needed this more for skin protection than looks.
Bought the Monster Truck design for my Grandchild. He likes it a lot. Wears it under his bicycle helmet.
The material stretches to fit most any size children's head. It's a little warm when it's warm outside but the material is soft. Wish it would breathe a bit better. ( I have one too.)
Good clear glass. Strong design. Brightness Controls are stiffer than an Aimpoint T1 but the price difference is huge.
It does the job very well. Haven't noticed any difficulties seeing the dot or its size. No flaring.
With a Scalarworks mount it stays true.
This item is a fine instrument/tool. This appears to have been made for LEO/Military use that is now being marketed to the general public.
A superb observational and hunting tool.
It will turn itself off after a few minutes to save battery life.
It has a rechargeable battery via USB plug and wall connector.
Its advertising says that you can "see" up to 500 yards but I think its more like 0-250 yards for practical use off a tripod.
It will not see into a vehicle if the windows are up and it will not work if the user is behind glass.
If a vehicle has been parked you can see if the engine is hot and the brakes still 'glow'.
It has a thread socket for a tripod. Comes with a nice belt carrier.
Although the zoom function is digital, there is no lack of clarity at the 2x setting.
The manual that came with it is short on information since the intended user LEO/Military most likely was given training on the device.
FLIR customer service is very courteous.
I was able to afford this pricey item because of the Optics Planet discount and the FLIR substantial rebate.
Unfortunate one cannot place this on a side rail of a rifle. Maybe someone will look into that option. The IR scopes are way above my budget.
