Mounted on my M4A1 works well. I like the quick release lever. Stubby design works well for close battle encounters. Well machined high quality control. Storage compartment comes in handy for allen wrenches and batteries.
The sling is not useful for a carbine type weapon. It is way to long very stiff material and the two bungie's is over kill for a two point application. as a single point sling plan on removing a lot of sling strap. Invest in the M4 Magpul.
