Works as advertised!!!

Written on Feb 28, 2017

These always have worked great for me. However, the scope model you have may not like these. Make sure the surface around the lens will receive the Butler Creek flip cover easily. I have had scopes that are not round; but grooved; at the eyepiece making the flip cap not an option.

Butler Creek offer and fitting guide on their website. Use it exactly the way they recommend you to, and you will not be disappointed in the fit.

Great product for the price... Watch out Harris!!!

I am a Harris bipod fan... That being said, I was on a budget for my build and +$100 bipod wasn't an option. Surprisingly, this bipod is made quite well, and just as sturdy as the Harris. I found two main differences between the Blackhawk and Harris bipods (one good, one not). The Blackhawk bipod legs are under a spring load to retrieve, NOT extend like the Harris. So, it takes a little work to pull the leg out and secure it with the tension knobs near the foot of the leg. However, if you are in a hurry to move and collapse the gun down, this is not a CON. What I really like about the Blackhawk, that I wish Harris would have, is the swivel tensioner lever just below and behind the perch of the bipod. This is great for tightening and loosening the swivel feature for the desired effect very easily. My Harris bipods have a round turning screw that my large hands cannot grab easily.
All the above being stated, I would definitely buy this product again, and for the half the price of a Harris, I just might buy another without batting an eye.

Great product for what they are!

Written on Feb 28, 2017

These are not HD or super precision scope mounts. That being said, they mounted perfectly, are very stylish, and did the job perfectly mounting a 15 year old bench rest scope. They are a low profile and thinner material at the top. I don't know if they can take a drop or a hit without cracking. That being said, these rings are priced perfectly, and the product by no means is cheap or undesirable. Definitely would recommend for light to medium hunting rifle that need a slightly taller ring stance. I did mount these on 1/2" riser rail on an precision AR platform to keep the 60mm objective lens at a proper height for the AR platform. Make sure you check different model numbers for the rings that will provide the best objective lens clearance for your rifle.

Worked great for extending my receiver rail

Written on Feb 28, 2017

This unit is a full 11.25" and is two pieces (Main rail with one clamping side). Make sure the lower portion of the upper receiver sits higher than the distance needed forward on the upper. Mounted very solid onto upper rail using only 3 of the 4 screws to secure. This does raise the rail 1/2", which is needed for proper scope height (For 60mm objective lens bench rest scope). I used "High" mount rings (Sig Sauer SOA10005) with the scope I mounted on this rail. This provided the perfect height for prone and other shooting styles. The rail was lighter in weight than expected; but rigid.
