Very nice upgrade

I bought this upgrade gas tube cover to fit my upgraded Monte Carlo stock. The gas tube cover that came with my stock was not at all aggressive. Plus don’t bother trying to remove the “pins” from the wood cover to change it out. Better to just upgrade then waste your time with the original wood cover. This gas tube takes a little work but looks badass when it’s added to a new stock.

ATI Outdoors Monte Carlo SKS Rifle Stock
If you”re thinking you can buy this stock and drop your SKS in - perfect fit you are big time wrong! This stock will require a moderate degree of trimming (as advertised) here and there plus a liberal use of a rubber hammer. There are numerous YouTube videos that an help you, but take it slow and you should be fine. The one criticism I have is that the included gas tube cover is not practical for many reasons so I invested in an upgrade to a NcStar model MSKSV2 badass rail mount also purchased from Optics Planet for about $50. With my new Monte Carlo stock & Gas tube cover I have a great looking upgraded SKS for around $150 bucks. Also Optics Planet is the most professional company I’ve dealt with. They kept me informed every step of the way. Great product for a great price.
