I bought two of these, for a Ruger PC Carbine and a Palmetto State Armory AR-V. Installation was a breeze. The included shim and O-ring made indexing easy; no need for crush washers or loc-tite. The “black” color has a bit of grayish gunmetal look which looks good on both rifles. Both guns functioned perfectly with the comps in place, with no shifts in zero. I did not notice any reduction in recoil, but I was admittedly running light loads for Steel Challenge. I hoping to see a real difference using higher velocity ammo, but I’ve not done that yet.
