Jams and Bloody Thumbs

Written on Aug 10, 2020

The magazine lips are so tight you cannot unload it without tearing up your thumbs on the edges and corners- even the last few rounds are difficult. And it takes A LOT of effort. Worse still is that they cause jams galore. Cartridge gets hung on the feed ramp because it won’t let go.
Tried 7 different magazines, 3 different rifles, and 2 types of Hornady ammo all brass. One of the rifles had an Alexander Arms upper, and these carry the same brand name on the package.
Same result for all combinations.
Next step is pliers to try and open them up a bit.
I’ve bought hundreds of magazines for different rifles and these are the worst.
