I got this to put on my AR-15. Used the leupold AR scope mount. So far I love it. It is compact simple and works great. This is my second VX-1 scope and I think they are great values for the price. The AR mount is great too, rock solid and has the right hight for an AR.

This works well on my dpms oracle. No need to take the buffer tube off to install a traditional sling mount behind the castle nut. Be careful installing. The instructions say only tighten to 10 inch pounds. Thats not much, I had a torque wrench screwdriver and that was the lowest setting. I think they are worried about crushing the buffer tube.
