It’s a flip up plastic lens cap, not something I’d ordinarily take the time to review. I’ve used and purchased many over time. Most sold by the scope manufacturers thinking they would fit better, hold up longer or be less irritating. Unlike those others, this actually fits more snug, no wobble, doesn’t shift and opens smoothly and quietly. I’ve had others made of similar plastic and rubber. None I have really liked.
Bought this to replace the incredibly poor covers that came with my Trijicon Credo. It fits more like a cover should. Opens when I want. Stays closed when I want. It offers some protection for the glass. Paid less than $10 so right now if it lasts a bargain.
Perfect compliment to a tremendous sight. This feels high quality and offers crisp clear magnification. Easily matches the EOTECH I also own. But it’s substantially lighter, it is much less noticeable in that way. Super happy with this setup.
The TriggerTech MCX trigger is a super smooth crisp trigger upgrade for the Sig. The adjustable pull provided me the opportunity to get the perfect pull weight I was seeking. Compared with the standard Sig or the Geissele it has minimal creep and super quick reset. The standard Sig and Geissele feel remarkably similar, kudos to Sig for providing a very nice standard trigger for the MCX. The TriggerTech feels different, it allows me to get a quicker response and hold the rifle with less movement. For me this is the difference I was looking for. I compared the Flat and Curved. The standard Sig model is a cross between the two. The Flat ultimately is the route I went and it’s feels perfect. When shooting it is completely transparent, the most natural like an extension of the trigger finger. A very well designed high quality product.
Used this model to add a touch more angle to my head when using the new Magpul DT stock on an MCX LT. Magpul has a warning for use on this type of rifle (AR) because of the charging handle, but no interference at all. Not sure .5 model would work or not. But the .25 is an awesome adjustment. Easy on, high quality, perfect snug fit.
My son had great enthusiasm for LVPO scopes. So I investigated and actually selected this scope comparing it and my other strong candidates extensively hands on. The design is amazing, the low weight compared to any other brand, compact size and the obvious build quality won me over. The design intrigued me to learn about the brand. In the viewfinder I find the information displayed to be super helpful. First focal plane is awesome. In many ways other manufacturer’s are just catching up to the NX8. But none are better to my eyes. The price was very competitive. At the range anyone with knowledge of the Nightforce brand have all inquired about it. So many are surprised by the price expecting it to be 2X to 3X higher. They all want to hold my MCX to look through the scope. The accuracy and crisp image have made for an instant partnership. There has been only one drawback, I want to shoot with it so often that my ammo expenses have soared. If you’re looking for a high quality 1-8 or 1-10 LVPO, I encourage you to check it out.
