Works for aluminum 30 round mags - CAA Command Arms Accessories M16/AR15 Picatinny Magazine Pouch

Will not work with any other mag than a metal G.I. style 30 round magazine. I used an aluminum mag but I would expect a steel mag to work as well. I’m posting this review here because as I was looking to buy another one (gave mine to a friend). I saw that someone asked if a PMAG would work. No, not only that but no kind of polymer mag Will work with this. No way. The holder has little tabs that grab the G.I. style base plate, you can’t even use a 20 rounder because it would be at an angle not harmonious to the locking tabs. You couldn’t even stuff a polymer mag into this thing. So, no Pmags. This works great though, if you would like a magazine attached to any AR magazine feeding gun with a rail without any real fuss. This might be your bag. Unless your such a cool cat that you don’t have any open rail that you can slide this on and off of.
