Marty's Review of Command Arms Accessories Caa Sig Sauer Pistol Picatinny Rail-Mount SIGA1
I bought this for my older Sig P229 which does not have a rail. The CAA Sig Pistol Rail Mount is extremely well made and finished. The rail fits nice and tight up to the weapon. The two-piece mount that sandwiches the trigger fits very well, however, when you put all three pieces together that is when things do not match up as well. I was contemplating removing a very small amount of metal from the two-piece clamp as well as elongating the through-holes in the rail itself. After a lot of time making minor movements to the rail and clamps I was able to get one of the screws started. After tightening that a bit I was able to get the other started and cinched both bolts down. The rail and clamps are very finely machined and do not give a lot of room to move. Once everything is tightened up it is very well mounted and stable with no movement. Due to the inexact fit, (or maybe I should say the over-exacting fit), the mount did scratch my trigger guard slightly. That did not concern me as this was a used gun with holster wear and a couple of marks, anyway.
