This pair of gloves is THE ONE TO HAVE while in combat (mechanized, airborne, straightleg, etc.) A lot of my guys cut off the tan sleeve and folded over the bottom portion of the glove to make it more "comfortable." These gloves have survived through thick and thin, through gunfire, explosions, and fist fights. It gives your palms just enough leather padding to protect it from rappeling short heights, working with rope, handling recently fired weapons, and still gives you plenty of dexterity so you can still feel for an item in the dark or individual magazines and bullets. It gives just enough padding on your knuckles as well. It's a little pricey, but what combat equipment privately accrued doesn't cost money? A must buy for anybody going outside the wire, performing tactical operations, or just want a sturdy pair of shooting gloves.
