Close to perfect pack. Replaces a tactical style Camelback which with many years of travel and abuse finally expired. The usual heavy duty construction. Civilian profile - with no webbing - is quick to get used to. Padding and interior pockets very well thought out. Medium size works to carry enough gear for one day or overnight use. I appreciate the double duty side pockets which can serve for water bottles or gear and replaces the usual mesh pockets. The cinch straps have to be unlocked to access the main compartment, not really a problem and assures a sturdy and totally closed pack. Would be a good school bag.
