A canon legend - Canon TS-E 24mm f/3.5L II Tilt-Shift Lens 3552B002

The tilt and shift work independantly of each other.A special screen could be used for focusing but, I use a Hoodman loupe and "live view" . You will need one of the two in bright sunlight. The tilt has a twist lock and a switch to lock in place.The shift has a twist lock .This comes in handy because of tilt creep when repositioning your shot .Photos are a religious experience and are as clean, contrasty and amazingly sharp , not only in the center sweet spot but, when used at f/16 corners are sharp edge to edge , corner to corner. Now I can compensate for converging lines and increase my depth of field without having to take the lens apart as before. Zero ca , even at f/3.5 . Learning curve is somewhat steep but easily mastered after a few shoots .Interior designers spend a great amount of effort in lighting large areas (restaurants, hotel lobbies swimming pools...) I use this lens to capture this warmth and atmosphere . I found that a nodal slide in definitly needed for this type of close pano shots . The only con is the steep price but , this lens is destined to be one of the Canon legends .I had my name on a long waiting list with a handfull of distributers for two months berfore contacting Optics Planet . These guys acquired my lens in two weeks ! I will definitly purchase from Optics Planet again !
