Carlson’s tactical muzzle brake - Carlson's Choke Tubes Tactical Muzzle Brake: Winchester, Cylinder

I put this on an FN SLP which is mainly fed Brenneke Black Magic Magnum 3” slugs, 00 buckshot, and eventually Dixie IXL-DGS slugs. I shot 2 rounds of 3” buckshot follwed by two Black Magic slugs using the IC choke that came with the gun, then I repeated the process with this muzzle brake. I did notice a reduction in recoil, but it was not as dramatic as I had hoped. If I was to try to guess at a percentage, I’d say the recoil was about 5% lighter. It’s a very well-made piece of hardware, it fits the gun perfectly, and any reduction in recoil is welcome - I recommend this to anyone shooting heavy loads out of their shotgun.
