Highly recommended! My 3 year old and 7 year old love this. I love it because if something happens to it, I'm not out a lot of money. We're using this for nature study and the binoculars & compass are the biggest hits. This is perfect for short excursions or longer ones.

Pros: The carrying bag makes this the best for younger kids who are just starting exploring.
Cons: I wish there was a velcro attachment instead of looping through a belt.
