An excellent bargain; a somewhat peculiar spec. - Cassini C-P7 7.5x50mm Waterproof Binocular

These Cassinis are heavy for their objective size; I think this is due to the fact that they feel rock-solid, which I like. Don't know what metal the body is constructed. The focusing and diopter rings are quite tight and give the impression that they will withstand many years of use. That the real FOV is a bit constricted is the only drawback. I haven't actually measured it, but it pales in comparison to my other 7x50s. Of course this is a given with the sight increase in power, but it remains noticeable.

There is an advantage to the 0.5 increase in magnification, however: they can split about a dozen or so stars I've tried them on that a 7-power will not. Good. Still, when all is said and done, remember that the tripod hinge cap simply pops off rather than unscrews like most of them. I twisted it counter-clockwise for a frustrating 10 minutes before discovering this.

Finally, I would recommend that you get these as an adjunct to your 7x50s or even the trusty 10x50s, for they if anything are a great conversation piece and all my astronomically minded friends are without exception impressed.
