Harb's Review of CBC Industries AR-15 Complete Upper Receiver Pistol Kit, .223/5.56, 7.5in

This AR pistol upper is the most useless thing that I’ve ever had the displeasure of owning. Along with the horrible service that I have received from CBC trying to get it repaired or replaced. It is effectively a single shot pistol as it has to be charged after every shot. I have returned it to CBC 3 times. I tried different buffer weights and different spring rates, none of which even came close to solving the problem. After the first return they asked for a video of the malfunction which I sent to them after the second return. I had been dealing with the head of QC who is a guy named Dean, and after I sent the video he stopped answering and returning my calls. So I made the 4 hour trip to Charleston, SC, and walked it through the front door in hopes of actually getting it fixed or replaced. When I asked to speak to Dean, they asked for my name and went back to tell him that I was there with the upper. Now all of a sudden he’s in a meeting and can’t speak with me.(The standard excuse when someone doesn’t want to talk to you.) So once again I left the upper with them. I gave them my name, number and address, since I had to return to NC. After not hearing from them for three weeks, I called them and they said they had to find it. After a few minutes I was told that it was ready for pickup, but I told them they need to mail it to me, as I was back in NC. They did overnight it back to me. I took it to the range, and for the third time it’s still short stroking. I still can’t get CBC to replace it. So don’t bank on the lifetime warranty because they won’t honor it. Personally, I will never buy another CBC product.
